The Waterloo Regional Labour Council and the member unions would like to invite everyone in the Region of Waterloo to come out to the annual Labour Day Picnic in Waterloo Park from noon until about 6 on Monday, Labour Day, September 6^th 2010. Labour Day is a day that we celebrate our work.  And everyone either works or has worked.  This is our day to celebrate with free rides and games for the kids a clown or two to entertain and you may even get your make up done by the face painters. Winner will be drawn at the General Meeting for an article of 804 clothing. Anyone entering the draw must be a member of local 804, and, must be a member in good standing in order to be entered into the draw.  Anyone entering the draw to email their answer to: c.hicks@ibew804.ca

 New Procedures

Internal Controls have been established by the Officers of IBEW Local 804 to promote efficiency and to promote effective operations of the Local.

These Internal Controls Procedures will give Local 804 members greater confidence that:

1.       Local 804 accounting operations are efficient and effective.

2.       Local 804 assets are being safeguarded against theft and misuse.

3.       Local 804 financial reporting is reliable and complete.

4.       Local 804 is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

To confirm that these procedures will remain in effect, these will become part of the Bylaws of Local 804
